The 5 yet Project

The idea behind the 5 yet project is an outlet to step outside of the daily grind of work to remember why we do this in the first place. A place to share ideas, concepts, inspirations and art outside of the 9–5.

As a way to nurture and expand this idea I had a thought of doing a weekly “assignment” that I hope anyone that is interested in participating can do so. The idea came from Fight Club where the main character would assign everyone a homework project in which the members would have to accomplish.

I will post the assignment via twitter in which I am hoping will gather inspiration and ideas for everyone. If you would like to participate please email me your “assignments” upon completion, I will gather them all and post them for everyone to enjoy.

I hope everyone will have fun with this.

Subject: Tattoo/Ink

This week is going to be a bit trickier (and permanent), and due to this I am extending the weekly deadline to 2 weeks. This exercise will include the design and completion of my first tattoo. I will also be working on completion of a tattoo design for a friend. I am open to suggestions for a tattoo parlor (have heard a lot of good things about Big Deluxe) and would like to find an artist with a passion and understanding for typography. And as always let me know if anyone would like to join in!
